WALK THE TALK
Addictions Program
Addictions are born where emotions suffer
We ALL need connection, we ALL need to feel good... If you don't know how to achieve this within yourself, you seek it wherever you can. Gambling, food, porn, alcohol, sex, drugs... it's human nature.

Addictions are an attempt to self soothe, to feel ok when you're really not. Sadly and to great detriment, our society punishes and alienates (certain) addicts who, therefore, have little chances of recovery. Forcing, or even begging, someone to let go of their addiction (their believed 'life line') is generally ineffective: however, giving them the tools to handle the reasons for their addiction changes everything! Building the foundation for happiness and emotional control is where you start the journey out of addiction at Confident Kids Canada. It's the ONLY way to begin!

Emotional suffering is passed along
Loving someone who's addicted to drugs or alcohol is an emotional rollercoaster! Not only wrestling with your own helpless and frustrated emotions but also dealing with the dysfunctional emotions of your addicted loved one. It's a mess!

Adults have trouble handling this. Kids cannot handle this without help.
